See Over The Top

Vocal: Rosie Charles, age 8

A positive message from a girl in the West Indies. On a trip to Ireland from her home in St Lucia, my niece Rosie took a fancy to this song and recorded her vocal a few days later.

Be My Friend

Vocal: Mia Shepherd, age 5.

Mia made up the lyric of Be My Friend on the spot and her words speak directly to children about one of the most important aspects of their lives; their friends. It is not a lyric I can imagine an adult coming up with.

Oh What A Girl

Vocal: Rosie Charles, age 4.

Recorded for her sixth birthday present, this song is a must for all girly parties. My mum taught Rosie the old music hall standard 'If You Knew Suzie' and changed the name. The eight lines I recorded have been stretched out to make a happy house track, which is exactly what the lyric calls for.

Four On The Floor / Easygoing Baby

After ten years, Mia once again got on the mic. This time instead of making up her own song she sang one of mine which went on to be used in Ireland's most popular TV show, Bachelor's Walk.

Both Mia and Rosie recorded versions of Easygoing Baby but I've used mine because, well, they have two songs each and I have none and it's not fair and I'm not playing if I can't sing a tune!
